Description

The Monstera Adansonii ‘Mint’ is a rare and breath taking variety of the beloved Swiss Cheese Vine, known for its delicate fenestrated (holed) leaves and soft mint-green variegation. Each leaf is a work of art—splashed with creamy whites, pale greens, and silvery-mint tones that create a dreamy marbled pattern.

While a bit more delicate than its all-green cousin, this variegated variety rewards careful care with lush growth and increasingly dramatic foliage. It’s a must-have for serious plant lovers or anyone looking to add a rare, light-loving showstopper to their collection.

Care Requirements:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its variegation. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves, but don’t place it in low light—insufficient light may cause the minty marbling to fade.

  • Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy. Reduce watering in cooler months.

  • Humidity: Loves high humidity. Can benefit from a humidifier, pebble tray, or group with other plants to boost moisture levels, especially in drier climates.

  • Temperature: Best kept in a warm environment between 18–27°C. Keep away from cold drafts and air conditioning vents.

  • Soil: Use a chunky, well-draining mix rich in organic matter—ideally a blend of potting soil, perlite, orchid bark, and coco coir.

  • Feeding: Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer, diluted to half strength. Avoid overfeeding, as this can damage the variegated foliage.

  • Support: Provide a moss pole or trellis if you want it to climb, which often encourages larger and more fenestrated leaves.

Pet-Friendly? No – Like other monsteras, this plant is toxic if ingested by pets or people.
