Maranta Leuconeura Kerchoveana 12cm Pot House Plant

Delicate yet full of personality, the Maranta leuconeura 'Kerchoveana'—commonly known as the Rabbit’s Foot Maranta—is a charming and easy going member of the prayer plant family. Its soft green leaves are dotted with distinctive, irregular brown markings that resemble the playful footprints of a rabbit—hence its nickname.

With its compact growth and trailing habit, this plant makes a lovely accent on a shelf, in a hanging pot, or grouped with other tropical plants. Its calm, friendly appearance and easy care make it a favourite for beginners and seasoned plant lovers alike.

Care Requirements:

• Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Can tolerate lower light conditions, though growth may slow slightly. Keep out of direct sun to avoid leaf scorch.

• Water: Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. 

• Humidity: Prefers high humidity (above 50%). Mist regularly, use a humidifier, or place on a pebble tray to keep the foliage vibrant and prevent crispy edges.

• Temperature: Enjoys warm indoor temperatures between 16–27°C. Protect from cold drafts and sudden changes in temperature.

• Soil: Use a light, well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter. A mix with peat, coco coir, and perlite works well.

• Feeding: Feed every 4–6 weeks during the growing season with a diluted, balanced houseplant fertilizer.

• Pruning: Trim away any yellow or damaged leaves. Light pruning can encourage fuller, bushier growth.
